No tengo nada de sonido (Adjunto inf Everest)

Hola, no tengo sonido, el parecer no es el controlador, tengo el original para windows vista, y tengo ese sist operativo, andaba bien pero dejo de hacerlo y no estoy seguro porque. el icono de sonido al lado del reloj muestra un simbolo rojo x (al acercar el cursosr dice: "el servicio de audio no se esta ejecutando" con una i en circulo azúl); y si reinstalo el controlador, al ratito q termina la instalación hace un bip y un cartel me dice "smart audio dejo de funcionar debido a un problema", tambien entre a chusmear en el setup y no encuentro nada relacionado con sonido.. ¿como se si el disp. de sonido se quemó? es onboard.la compu es una notebook Lenovo 3000 G550.
